Jakarta’s successful hosting of the World Economic Forum this week is a testament to its rising economic power.
I think, this is not only a testament for Indonesia’s economic power, but also for Asian economic power. We now have India, China, japan, Korea, and Indonesia. They are the next world leader, as we could see the decline of US and Europe.
Asia, The Next Leader
World Economic Forum summit that held in Indonesia is an acknowledgment of Asian economic power. So, how President Yudhoyono open the summit in Indonesia is absolutely correct. Yudhoyono’s remark set a good start to make Asia nation recognize the moment.
“I notice that this newfound confidence is not particular to Indonesia. You can see it throughout Asia. In my heart I do believe that Asia’s moment has come, and that a much brighter future lies ahead. But we cannot take this for granted,” Yudhoyono said in the opening remarks of the WEF at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta on Sunday.
