The End of Gaddafi

leave a comment »

it seems that everybody sing and laugh after Gaddafi’s era is close to its end. Few days ago, rebels toke Gaddafi’s hometown, Tripoli, by force. But unfortunatelly, Gaddafi was gone. He go underground to save himself. Meanwhile, his supporter still fight back and defend Tripoli. I believe that they will lose Tripoli since rebels and NATO are remain strong. Referring to the fact, Gaddafi then prepare himself from the underground to negotiate with the rebel. This is a way to save himself, to avoid end story like Saddam Husein of Iraq.

Moussa Ibrahim, Muammar Gaddafi‘s spokesman, has reportedly told the Associated Press news agency that the toppled Libyan leader is ready to negotiate with the rebels to form a transitional government.

Chaves and Gaddafi, a Deadly Friendship

leave a comment »

I Just realized that Chaves and Gaddafi’s friendship is a deadly friendship. Just take a look at Chaves latest letter to Gaddafi. The letter shows Cahves’ support to Gaddafi’s stand in Libya. It is actually a deadly friendship for several reasons. Fist, Chaves’ support will make Gaddafi psychologically stronger. Chaves’ support shows that Gaddafi still have a close friend. It is actually have a negative impact. Gaddafi that recently weaker maybe become stronger again. It also means, there will be more casualties in Libya due to Gaddafi’s increasing insanity. Second, Chaves’s support shows the world that Gaddafi still have support. There are several possibilities regarding the support. Gaddafi may use Chaves to strengthen its military power. or, Gaddafi will use it to win back Libyans heart and mind.

Psychopaths are Everywhere

leave a comment »

To be a prosperous country is not always lead to a stability and security. Prospers and developed countries still have their own problems. Recent Norway double attack confirmed my argument. Prosperity always weaken people’s mental health. Subsequently, too many paranoid that you could find in the developed countries. They fear of many things. Sometimes, they fear of Islam. At some case, too many people also fear of developing countries people. They fear of poor people. Recent Oslo suspect confirmed this argument. The Oslo suspect fear of Islam and plan a Christian War. I believe that this people is crazy. And I believe that too many people as psychopathic as the Oslo suspect.

The Norwegian man charged Saturday with a pair of attacks in Oslo that killed at least 92 people left behind a detailed manifesto outlining his preparations and calling for a Christian war to defend Europe against the threat of Muslim domination, according to Norwegian and American officials familiar with the investigation.

leave a comment »

Finally, a late-night bailout safe Eurozone. I don’t know what the number actually said. I think that the problem is very complicated. Everybody said that Eurozone is in trouble. But then, it is interesting that the Eurozone is saved by a late-night bailout. The late-night bailout actually have been long awaited by commentators. When, the late-night bailout agreed, it is praised. As Independed said, the bailout heralds a new dawn for Eurozone. So, one problem solved. But we still have US debt ceiling problem. If the problem persist till August, we’ll face another world economic crisis. Just wait, what will happen with US debt ceiling problem.

Shocking Double Attacks in Norway

with one comment

I thought that Norway is the most stable country in the world. But recent double attacks in Norway just scattered my mind. First attack, is bomb attack at the government offices. It is just a common terrorist attack. You could find the same modus operandi in Afghanistan and Iraq. The bomb killed seven people and wounded 15 others. The second attack, is more terrible than the first attack. In the second attack, a man dressed as a police officer entered a youth camp on the island of Utoya, 19 miles northwest of Oslo, Norwegia. The police officer just opened fire. 80 teenager dead on the incident. It is shocking. Norway is a very stable country. And the such double attacks that killed 87 people in a day just scattered my mind. So, stability and prosperity won’t ensure that terrorism never happened. Therefore, we need more comprehensive approach to deal with terrorism.

Behavior Agreement Purpose

leave a comment »

Behavior agreement that is agreed among claimants on South China Sea dispute are the most important milestone. It is important for several reason. First, the agreement will make the dispute on the South China Sea is predicable and manageable. Subsequently, it will lead to the regional stability. Second, the agreement is the first step to the next peace agreement. Once the stability is ensured and the dispute is managed, it just will be easier to setup a peace agreement regarding the dispute. But the next question, will China or other claimants comply to the agreement for a while? I believe that the claimants will be quite for a while. They will use the break to setup more comprehensive strategy to claim the resource-rich South China Sea. If this prediction accurate, we have to be cautious to the break. There will be more complicated dispute on the region because each claimants will come with more comprehensive strategy to claim the disputed area.

Myanmar’s Nuke

leave a comment »

It is a shocking news for me that Myanmar is going to undertake its nuclear plans. Al Jazeera just make it clear that Myanmar is actually has “nuclear plans”. There are evidence that proofed by Journalist from the Norway-based Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB). They have been gathering information about secret military projects in Myanmar for years. If this is true, it will be a bad news. If Myanmar are going to become a nuclear power, Myanmar are likely to be the most powerful yet dangerous country in Southeast Asia for several reason. First, for years the stability of ASEAN is existed because there is no nuclear power in the region. If there suddenly exist, there will be a significant distribution of power in the ASEAN. Myanmar will be the most powerful. Even worser, Myanmar will be uncontrollable by the norm and binding code. Subsequently, Myanmar will be an important variable that determine ASEAN stability. is Just like how North Korea operate in the East Asia. So, it is important to be cautious regarding the issues.

Behavior Agreement

leave a comment »

This is actually a significant development about the story of dispute between ASEAN countries and China. Even Chinese diplomat called it “milestone document”. There are several reason why the document is very important. First, because the sea is very hot. The South China Sea is a resource-rich area. Countries that involved in the dispute will surely use their ultimate power to defend their claim. Therefore, without behavior agreement, the dispute could become even worser than ever. Second, because China, as the most powerful country in the region, has resisted such agreement for years. This is just make the dispute more complicated. The most powerful country just resisted such binding code of conduct. But, with some complicated diplomatic strategy, China finally agreed such binding code. Actually, this is a mystery for me. The question, what China will get from such binding agreement. Logically, such binding agreement will only limiting China’s action on the South China Sea. Subsequently, ASEAN countries are the luckiest. China’s threat will be limited because of the agreement.

Justice, Afghan Style

leave a comment »

This is a shocking picture on Peter Schweizer blog post. The picture shows how a group of men in Afghanistan hung who killed Hamid Karzai’s half brother.

A group of men in plain clothes hung the corpse against the wall in Kandahar for around 20 minutes before they carried it away.

This is shocking and make me realize that Afghan have their own style of justice. Even by hanging corpse in a public space.

Who is Rupert Murdoch?

leave a comment »

Rupert Murdoch is now a trending topics on the net. He is up because of his well known latest scandal, phone-hacking scandal. But who is he actually? He is a media mogul and three times listed in Times 100 most influential people. Yes, he is so influential because his media are globalized. You could find his media company in all the continent. Wikipedia have everything about him.

Beginning with one newspaper in Adelaide, Murdoch acquired and started other publications in his native Australia before expanding News Corp into the United Kingdom, United States and Asian media markets. Although it was in Australia in the late 1950s that he first dabbled in television, he later sold these assets, and News Corp’s Australian current media interests (still mainly in print) are restricted by cross-media ownership rules. Murdoch’s first permanent foray into TV was in the USA, where he created Fox Broadcasting Company in 1986. In the 2000s, he became a leading investor in satellite television, the film industry and the Internet, and purchased a respected business newspaper, The Wall Street Journal.
