The End of Gaddafi

leave a comment »

it seems that everybody sing and laugh after Gaddafi’s era is close to its end. Few days ago, rebels toke Gaddafi’s hometown, Tripoli, by force. But unfortunatelly, Gaddafi was gone. He go underground to save himself. Meanwhile, his supporter still fight back and defend Tripoli. I believe that they will lose Tripoli since rebels and NATO are remain strong. Referring to the fact, Gaddafi then prepare himself from the underground to negotiate with the rebel. This is a way to save himself, to avoid end story like Saddam Husein of Iraq.

Moussa Ibrahim, Muammar Gaddafi‘s spokesman, has reportedly told the Associated Press news agency that the toppled Libyan leader is ready to negotiate with the rebels to form a transitional government.

Five Presidency Candidates from Golkar

with one comment

Jusuf Kalla, vice president of Indonesia.

Image via Wikipedia

I believe that this is a good news. Some senior politician from Golkar few days ago informally announced its presidency candidates for 2014 election. The five potential presidency candidates from Golkar  are Jusuf Kalla, Agung Laksono, Akbar Tandjung, Aburizal Bakrie, and Fadel Muhammad. I know, they all are potential elites from Golkar. Sources said that the official candidate will be announced based on Golkar’s internal survey. But I believe that Jusuf Kalla, is the best choice. Jusuf Kalla still have the best reputation as Golkar’s elites. Compared to Aburizal Bakrie, I believe that Indonesian generally prefer Jusuf Kalla to be the next president. Aburizal Bakrie, have Lapindo and many political obstacle that will be exploited by his political opponent. So, I bet that Jusuf Kalla will be the next official presidency candidate from Golkar. And I bet that he will win the 2014 contestation.

Declining Role of Postal Service

leave a comment »

So, this is the main argument why we have to close Postal Service. First, in this skype and instant messaging world we have to face the declining of mail volume. It means, mail delivery becomes high cost and un-profitable. Second, Postal Service couldn’t beat what the internet offers to its customer. Internet is still the faster and the most efficient service compared to what a traditional Postal Service offers. So, I believe that to beat Internet service is the most important strategy if Postal Service to be survived. I mean, Postal Service have to revolutionize its service to be more efficient and faster. Postal Service still could hijack the moment of internet. For example, using the potential of Internet to revolutionize Postal Service. So, here is interesting articles that shows us the main argument about the discourse of declining role of Postal Service.

Over the past 10 years while the Postal Service loss 14 percent of its mail volume; it has also cut its workforce by nearly 25 percent. That means postal employees have been more efficient while delivering mail to every American home six days a week. We understand that working together we can avoid cuts in service that would eventually lead to the end of the USPS. As letter carriers we also realize there are many who still rely on the Postal Service as a primary source of communication. Recent polls that suggest Saturday deliveries would not be missed are misleading. In this age of instant technology there still exist a great "digital divide."

Postal Service is Important

with one comment

Here is interesting article about postal service in the US wrote by Philip F. Rubio. It is very interesting for several reason. first, Rubio’s article highlighted the why Postal Service is important. Second, Rubio’s article is an counter discourse to the rising discourse of the declining Postal Service role in the skype and instant messaging world. Third, if the Postal Service win on the war of position, it will be a historical moment before everything wiped by the internet.

The post office has historically helped all kinds of people find jobs, including immigrants, rural migrants and those pursuing higher education. For African-Americans, the post office has been a job magnet and a vehicle for social activism and community development. Since changes in the law allowed them to enter the ranks in 1865, African-Americans fought segregation and discrimination in the Postal Service and its unions, and they played a key role in modernizing the agency. Historically, the post office has been the largest employer of African-Americans, and from 1970 to 2000, blacks were at least twice as likely to work for the post office as whites.

Chaves and Gaddafi, a Deadly Friendship

leave a comment »

I Just realized that Chaves and Gaddafi’s friendship is a deadly friendship. Just take a look at Chaves latest letter to Gaddafi. The letter shows Cahves’ support to Gaddafi’s stand in Libya. It is actually a deadly friendship for several reasons. Fist, Chaves’ support will make Gaddafi psychologically stronger. Chaves’ support shows that Gaddafi still have a close friend. It is actually have a negative impact. Gaddafi that recently weaker maybe become stronger again. It also means, there will be more casualties in Libya due to Gaddafi’s increasing insanity. Second, Chaves’s support shows the world that Gaddafi still have support. There are several possibilities regarding the support. Gaddafi may use Chaves to strengthen its military power. or, Gaddafi will use it to win back Libyans heart and mind.

Amy Winehouse Join the 27 club

with 3 comments

Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London Apartment at 4 p.m. And The Salon said, She is now the latest member of the 27 club. It is not how Amy Winehouse dead that lead to my anxiety. The 27 club that trigger my curiosity. The first question, what is actually ‘27 club’? I am surprised when I found that the ‘27 club’ is a term to name all the famous that dead at 27 years old. Many of them were dead because of drugs and alcohol. The second question, who are in the club? again, I am surprised to name Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, who dead at the same age as Amy Winehouse. They were all dead because of drugs and alcohol. It is surprising, all the member of the ‘27 club’ were influential artist at their era. The next question, will the member of the group growing?

Psychopaths are Everywhere

leave a comment »

To be a prosperous country is not always lead to a stability and security. Prospers and developed countries still have their own problems. Recent Norway double attack confirmed my argument. Prosperity always weaken people’s mental health. Subsequently, too many paranoid that you could find in the developed countries. They fear of many things. Sometimes, they fear of Islam. At some case, too many people also fear of developing countries people. They fear of poor people. Recent Oslo suspect confirmed this argument. The Oslo suspect fear of Islam and plan a Christian War. I believe that this people is crazy. And I believe that too many people as psychopathic as the Oslo suspect.

The Norwegian man charged Saturday with a pair of attacks in Oslo that killed at least 92 people left behind a detailed manifesto outlining his preparations and calling for a Christian war to defend Europe against the threat of Muslim domination, according to Norwegian and American officials familiar with the investigation.
