E. Coli has killed 22 people and hit more than 12 countries in Europe. Internationally, there also a rising concern on the epidemic. According to the fact, E. Coli is a potential non-traditional security threat. Like another epidemic threat that ever happened, we could imagine how big is the potential impact of current E. Coli outbreak. Without appropriate strategy, E. Coli could spread Internationally and damage various international sectors, especially economic sector.
E. Coli, Indonesia Goes on Alert
There is rising concern about E. Coli outbreak that hit more than dozen of European countries and killed 22 people. Indonesia also has concern on the case. Indonesia Health Minister ordered all port in Indonesia to be on alert for sick passenger.
"It’s still too early to be overly scared of this food bug in Europe and the United States, but there’s nothing wrong with a little extra precaution," said Tjandra Yoga Aditama, the ministry’ s director general for disease control.
For Indonesian, this is a good sign. Ministry of Health seems really work for the people.
E. Coli Outbreak
A massive E. Coli outbreak in Germany. Some source said that 22 victims death because of the outbreak. According to various news source, this is the biggest E. Coli outbreaks in our history. 12 countries in Europe have reported the case. Local German reported that sprout had caused the outbreak.
Local German officials said Sunday that they had evidence that tainted domestic sprouts had caused the deadly E. coli outbreak that has afflicted Germany and unnerved fresh-produce markets throughout Europe, and they shut down the farm in the northern part of the country where the sprouts were grown.
The next question, why sprout suddenly become deadly?
