IAEA: Tsunami’s Threat Underestimated

leave a comment »

IAEA finished their inspection on devastating tsunami’s effect that hit Japan months ago. This is their preliminary result.

The preliminary report by a team from the International Atomic Energy Agency also said the tsunami hazard was underestimated at several other nuclear facilities in Japan, and called for experts worldwide to learn from the disaster to avert future accidents.

I Think this inspection is too late. The tsunami’s effect may already spread all over the world through sea current. But, IAEA’s effort have to be appreciated. The most important thing is, this preliminary result have an alert effect. The result should initiate further approach to face the lethal effect of nuclear radiation.
