Rakornas Demokrat
Today is an important day for Partai Demokrat (Democratic Party) because they organized a national meeting. The meeting is intended to reconsolidate the party members to support Anas Urbaningrum as the chairman. Recently, Anas Urbaningrum had accused by Nazarudin on money politics case. The issue lead a public concern about Party’s reputation. It also lead Party’s elite concern about Special Meeting to step down Anas Urbaningrum as party’s chairman. But I think, there two possible result of the Rakornas. First, the national meeting succeed to reconsolidate the party members to support Anas Urbaningrum. Second, the national meeting succeed to reconsolidate the party members to force Anas Urbaningrum step down from his chairman position. Just wait what will be the best result.
Nazarudin Begin His Twitter Strategy
Nazarudin not only use blog as political tools for his revenge strategy. Not so long ago, I just found his twitter account from my twitter timeline. Somebody was frequently retweeted Nazarudin’s updates. So here is Nazarudin’s twitter account, @mnazar78. Hopefully, this is a real account because I am waiting his controversial move for the shake of The Dem’s fall.
Nazarudin Effect: The Popularity Decline
Currently, Nazarudin is the most popular person in Indonesian politics. For Partai Demokrat, he is currently the most dangerous person for the party’s political future. His past political scandal actually has a huge impact for the Dems. The most important effect that will affect the Dems political future is the popularity decline for the party. Saiful Mujani said:
"Ada sentimen suara menurun di Partai Demokrat. Ini sejarah pertama PD perolehan suara di bawah pemilu. Pengalaman 2004 selalu di atas hasil pemilu. Sejak Pemilu 2009 sampai sekarang suara Demokrat cenderung turun,"
